Illuminnate is a small local business (Scarborough-based), handcrafting intentional and meaningful giftware, simplistic and timeless jewellery, beach accessories and unique experiences for the community. Each creation is intuitively and intentionally crafted with love by Van, the owner.

Our pieces are made to tell stories and become meaningful keepsakes carrying the ripple effects of loving intentions & sincere connections. Each piece holds a deeper “why” and has its own story to tell. Inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds us, meaningful experiences, places and loving humans that inspired my path in one way or another - many of which are local to the area as well.

A part of my mission is to share the power of intention (intentional living, being, acting, giving/gifting, speaking…) through my crafts - in all shapes or forms and to encourage people to live a meaningful life that is aligned with their own unique & authentic self. I aim to spread a little love and give back everywhere I can. I value mindfulness, kindness, creativity, authenticity, connections, and community. Bringing people closer together truly makes me happy. I genuinely care about making a difference and always do my best to contribute to the planet's health and happiness.

All our jewellery is handmade with meticulous attention to detail. Each piece is infused with love, care, and intention, focusing on quality over quantity. We aim to create those one-of-a-kind types of pieces that you never want to take off and many of our pieces are made as a one-off, intuitively crafted from spontaneous inspiration, making them completely unique to the wearer.

Our jewellery is mindfully designed to be waterproof, resist the salty life and be allergy-free. We use high-quality materials such as sterling silver, gold vermeil, freshwater pearls, Larimar stone, cowrie, and natural shells. Our pieces are simplistic, timeless, elegant, feminine, versatile, and meaningful—a blend of subtle yet eye-catching designs that suit everyday life as much as special occasions.

Illuminnate values slow fashion and mindful consumption. We care about the planet, and we aim to reduce waste as much as possible. We approach the production process and every aspect of our business from a conscious perspective, considering sustainability and ethical practices at every step of the supply chain. All our products are handcrafted in small batches in our home studio in Scarborough with a focus on creating high-quality meaningful pieces over quantity as well as offering a caring, personalised and enjoyable service and experience to our customers.
