Artwoerke

Artwoerke is the brand of Damien Goerke, a self-taught, Perth based artist. Damien has been drawing since he was young but started working on his current style in his teens. He creates stylised portraits of public figures and pop culture icons that inspire him, as well as commission-based portraiture. He normally works with graphite, pen, and markers to create pieces in a style that stands out as his very own, and has begun taking up painting as well. His work has been shortlisted and exhibited in the South Perth Emerging Artist Awards 2017 and entered in the Black Swan Art Prize 2018, Lester Prize 2019 and The Moran Prize 2019.
