Isabelle Yong Art
I've always been into art and was always surrounded by it but never took it seriously until I left high school. That was around the time where I had so much time on my hands and wanted to explore other things. What's funny is that I never thought I could paint and never really liked my artworks in school. If it wasn't for my mum who threw me into this small little studio with a bunch of oil painters, I would never have decided to start oil painting.
That little studio was owned by an old Taiwanese man who couldn't speak English at all and my Mandarin is pretty rough so we had a hard time communicating. Most of the time it was him showing me his techniques and me watching. I would sit in this studio and paint for the whole entire day and not get bored at all. I realized when I'm painting, nothing goes through my brain and I feel like I'm in a completely different place with no worries.
